Rachael Vanderminden, DDS


Biography

Dr. Rachael Vanderminden is a general dentist specializing in esthetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Vanderminden earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry, where she graduated with Honors in Esthetic Dentistry. During her dental training, she completed a highly selective program centered on smile analysis, occlusion, and restorative design. She was recognized for her excellence in fixed prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry, receiving both the Dr. Harry J. Gersten Award and the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry
Student Award of Merit.

Dr. Vanderminden completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Loyola University Maryland and spent two years conducting research on the safety and standardization of herbal supplements. This experience shaped her appreciation for evidence-based, whole-person care and ultimately led to a peer-reviewed publication.

Clinically, Dr. Vanderminden focuses on providing conservative, high-quality dental care that blends precision, modern technology, and an eye for detail. She is trained in CAD/CAM dentistry, Solea laser procedures, and is Invisalign® certified, allowing her to deliver comfortable, efficient, and customized treatment with an emphasis on natural-looking results. She believes that excellent dentistry begins with listening, clear communication, and creating a calm, supportive experience for every patient.

Dr. Vanderminden is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association and is proud to be part of the Midland Family Dental team, where innovation and patient experience are central to the practice philosophy.

Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Vanderminden enjoys visiting upstate and spending time on the lake in the summer and skiing in the winter. She also loves cooking, baking sourdough, and exploring all things food, and values the balance these activities bring to her professional life.
